artist statement

My painting practice was born from an early collaboration with AI — a structured, algorithmic partner that I eventually rejected in favor of pure human intuition. That rejection became the foundation of my current style: raw, emotional, and instinctive. Each piece begins with a limited palette that reflects a mood or thought in a given point in time and evolves through spontaneous, responsive mark-making. While my work is now entirely human-made, it continues to question what art means in an age of accelerating machine intelligence. I remain open to how this dialogue might shift — as AI evolves, so too might my relationship with it.

bio

I was born in New York City, but primarily raised in a small town west of Boston and lived in seven states in the US. I now reside in London, United Kingdom with my husband and daughter. I’ve worked in tech for over ten years while painting in evening classes at the New York Academy of Art and The Art Academy London and completed Studio Art coursework at Stanford University and Emory University. My experiences in tech and art led me to pursue unanswered questions about the interaction between the two. Does technology enhance art? Can technology create art? Can we co-create? Is art the last human frontier?
